About

About Fabián

I have spent more than twenty years in the fashion and luxury industry: first in strategy consulting at Bain & Company, then in the studios of Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, Roland Mouret and Burberry, and, since 2010, leading my own advisory practice from London.

That combination is my working method. I read a house the way a strategist reads a market and the way a designer reads a collection, and most of my work happens exactly where those two readings disagree: when creative and commercial leadership pull in different directions, when a repositioning threatens what made the brand matter, and when a government wants a fashion sector and needs more than a runway show.

My client work spans Gucci, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Fendi and Valentino, alongside institutional mandates with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, the Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá, the Mayor of London, the British Fashion Council and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.

My education runs through the same two worlds as my work: a BSc in Management and Strategy from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Organisational Systems from Hult Ashridge, alongside a Graduate Diploma in Fashion and an MBA in Innovation Management from Central Saint Martins, with later executive programmes at London Business School and the University of Cambridge.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) and a member of the British Academy of Management. I teach and lecture periodically at Central Saint Martins and other institutions in the UK and Europe.

Based in London. Working internationally between the UK, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
